Isaacs-Greene Preserve, a tract of the Milford Millponds Nature Preserve, consists primarily of Atlantic Coastal Plain palustrine woodlands along the clear flowing Johnston Branch, a tributary of the Mispillion River. The woodlands consist of red maple and black gum trees with patches of Atlantic white cedar. The rich understory is made up of sweet pepperbush, winterberry, and American holly. Stately loblolly pines are found in the drier areas of the site. An earthen dam creates a small pond along the branch. The Preserve is home to Wild Turkey, Wood Duck, Barred Owl, Pileated Woodpecker, Prothonotary Warbler, and American Beaver. A trail system runs through the site providing access for nature programs to habitats and teaching areas.
